They will say this is a proxy war but will say that Russia helping Iran isn’t the same thing as a proxy war.

Rules for me and not for thee

I keep wondering how the government would react if Euro countries had aided Iraq in the same way Euros are aiding Ukraine right now; whatever method Bush would have used, Russia would be equally justified in using frankly

history started on 2022. you clearly chose to be ignorant to the long history of nato’s offensive expansionism.

Did it start in December 1994 when they signed the Budapest Memorandum on Security Assurances?

Or in 2014 when Russia violated it the first time?

You guys are pissed because one country can’t keep a promise and the others are doing what they said they would do.

You mean countries wanting to voluntarily join NATO to help defend themselves against Russia?

Because that information is important when talking about “expansionism”

it’s say it’s more of a NATO proxy war against russia, with the US being a major stakeholder.

a proxy proxy war if you will

Well. If that is true. Russia cannot win a proxy war it seems. Let alone when NATO actually joins the war.

But no, this is not a proxy war against Russia… Russia attacked, Ukraine asked for help, and some countries (that are also in NATO) decided to help.

Are you Russian? Because I think maybe you are being told … Misinformation :-)

Ukraine, a much smaller military force then Russia, have not just been able to stop the invasion at a certain point. But is now starting to win back ground, and disrupt daily life in Moskou, and basically every other part of Russia. (Oil, the Russian version of Amazon, forgot the name)

Ukraine is holding all the cards at the moment. The EU desperately want them to join the EU. Because they simply have the best military stuff and knowhow right now.

No, I am not Russian, and taking a racist stance immediately is absurd.

Ukraine is day by day losing ground, and is running out of people willing to fight, resorting to conscription and even kidnappings. This is no mere “misinformation,” OSINT mapping channels continue to make it clear that Russia is steadily gaining ground. Moreover, Ukraine lacks the ability to continue to spread out this war, as quantitative losses build up, qualitative leaps in war development continue. What seems to be a slow encroachment on Russia’s part comes with decreasing capabilities on Ukraine’s side to match this, resulting in Kiev’s desparate attempts to turn this into a broader war by targeting Iranian ships.

Ukraine is holding none of the cards right now. The front line is giving away beneath their feet day by day, and are going to end up as a rump state with disastrous demographic collapse that the EU will be forced to prop up in the years following the war. The ones most hurt by this war are the Ukrainian working classes, the compradors in power in Ukraine are largely safe, and Russia is steadily achieving all of its stated aims.
