During an interview on the comedy podcast Bush Deep in early July, Albanese spoke about Japan’s leader, Sanae Takaichi, giving him a gift of Japanese melons.

Discussing the present, he appeared to make hand gestures in front of his chest, saying “she brought two, as you do”. Host Nikki Osborne joked: “She came in looking like Pamela Anderson.”

Seriously, what the fuck. Has Trump emboldened world leaders to say sexist shit on trashy podcasts?

The same podcast interview earlier attracted controversy after Albanese nominated singer Kylie Minogue while playing a game of “shag, marry, date” with Osborne. After the podcast, Albanese said he apologised “unequivocally” for those comments.

The host later said attention on the game had been a “moment taken out of context”.

Yeah… apologizing doesn’t even seem worth it. He’s just that low and nothing he says is gonna change it.

He was given a gift of fresh produce by his counterpart, the PM of Japan. And while recounting this gift of two melons, he made booblific hand gestures and more or less tittified the whole thing.
