lol, in my defense I had that thought after only reading the first 2 sentences, and I could see a cave tour including information like “This cave was discovered in <year> B.C.E./C.E.” But “300 million B.C.E.” would certainly get me to literally laugh out loud if a cave tour guide said that.
Yeah, I had originally read it as if the tour guide was giving incorrect information, like by using religious terminology instead of B.C.E./C.E.
