Oh look, it’s the far right massive inferiority complex again. Haven’t seen that in five minutes.

depicting latent Democrat and Republican belief-systems

What is it now, “Democrat”, or “left”. Cause there’s a bit of overlap in the margins, but not a lot.

Like, even if methodology is legit (big if), no one should jump from “my data shows Democrats in the US show less diversity of belief than Republicans in the US” to “all people on the left show less diversity of belief than all people on the right”, presumably just in general, if going by the title.

Look, everybody can create a graphic like this then write some text around it.

Is there any proof that (even some paid nazi shill) actually “found out”?

Maybe a source would be nice, so we could check it out instead of just some stupid picture without context?

    Slavery is wrong:

    Left: …. Yes?

Right: The bible clearly says no

    Right: the constitution says yes

    The Earth is Flat:

    Left: … No?

Right: the bible clearly says yes

    Right: the internet says no

I am so glad OP felt so strongly after reading this paper they were open to us (collectively) reading said paper as well. Then we could all understand on what metrics this was judged. Even this image isnt about left vs right anything (even tho it used the colors) it was about disagree to agree, but on what question? Where was it done? what was the age group? What were the socioeconomic break downs of these people? Fucking nothing, much like the actual content and reasoning of this poster.

I guess ‘diversity of thought’ is a good enough euphemism for a brunch of raving loonies.

That’s exactly it. My mom thought horse pills cured COVID and flashing lights cured cancer. Her friend said herbal teas (they they happened to sell) cured both. Another acquaintance said the natural vibrations of the world cured everything.

My sister and I on the other side of the political spectrum agree that traditional medicine does what it can to treat what it’s designed to treat. That’s a lot of “diversity” on the right, and very little on the left.

There are infinite ways to get something wrong, and usually only one way to get it right. You generally want people to agree on what the truth is, with a little bit of variance to ensure we can find improvements in our understanding as they become apparent.

Perhaps one side happens to coalesce around reality, whereas imaginationland has infinite possibility.

There are four political parties in Happyland. There is the Workers Social Party, the Socialist Work Party, the United Mediocre Liberal Party, and the Super-Fascist Death Party.

The first two hate each other and can’t cooperate. The last two have narrowly won every election since 2012.

theres so much diversity in how the right wants to harm minorities, while the left rigidly coalesces around not harming minorities. clearly the left is far less diverse and thus bad.
