not so coincidentally got a brutal dictatorship in my country from us imperialism too. also killed and tortured folks and lasted a couple decades too. the country still hasn’t recovered, on top of the usual economic and political pressure for us to do their bidding.

china trades a lot with us. plenty of bad deals but also lots of good ones. overall different ballpark entirely.
