My dad (not even American, but he would 100% be Republican if he were) will randomly bring up Obama and Biden and blame them for the economy, and even blame them for what’s happening in Iran. He claims that Trump had no choice but to attack Iran because of what Obama and Biden did to the economy 🤦🏻‍♀️

My father has multiple degrees and a professional designation, but he is living proof going to school doesn’t make you smart.

Honestly I put an asterisk next to the degrees of old white men. They’re so frequently the recipient of handouts that you can’t trust them to be qualified.

That is, without a hint of irony, exactly what the Tories have done in the UK and what the Republicans will do to the U.S.: They create such budget deficits during their own terms in office and enter into long-term commitments that benefit the super-rich that subsequent progressive governments have their hands tied when it comes to fiscal policy. Since these governments feel bound by rules out of fear of the conservative mob, they can effectively be rendered incapable of acting, thereby directly laying the groundwork for the next election victories.

Will do? Republicans are several decades into this plan. Bush inherited a budget surplus, started two wars and gave away billions in bailouts after the economy crashed, then Republicans turned around and bitched non-stop about the deficit when Obama took over, just so no policies that actually help the people can get passed without raising taxes.

When a Republican is president, policy is slow and it takes a long time to undo the Democrat president policy.

When a Democrat is president, policy is fast and any immediate good things are a result of the Republican president.
