    That’s so not true.

    It’s just that the focus shifted from nerds doing nerd things to economists enslaving nerds because they realized there is a lot of money in there.

    Tech is still exciting. The constant enshitification and “profits!!!” is what is annoying, depressing, and outreagous.

    Take WASM for example. It’s absolutely stunning. Imagine what we would have done with it 15 years ago. Now, it is still some niche because they haven’t figured how to squeeze money out of it.

      k, if its so stunning, why didnt it take off? why didnt asm? Sure it enabled processing nearer to local data sets. I have no use for that and I dont want the data near me processed.
