I opened the door to a shed and found this guy sitting in the middle of the floor. It’s been a long time since I’ve seen one this big in the wild. My coworker said it was nice enough to be out in the open and not hiding somewhere I had to put my hands.

A quick search says it’s an almost universal trait among species.

I used to shine them on the palm trees in my yard in Phoenix and the whole thing would glow with scorpions. It was so cool to see.

Oh ya there’s morearpund for sure, this is in a pretty remote area. Rattlesnakes get in there occasionally and I’m really lucky I haven’t encountered that. At least in that building.
