This is becoming a staple in cheap and mid-price hotels. I have to use half my towels to keep the floor from being wet.
Question on this… Why would you do that? Like 1 medium towel vaguely covers the wet area and its not like your probably sub-one-week stay is going to hurt anything if there is permanent water damage.
That just looks like an unfinished shower, or a sliding door set with a missing half. Maybe you could get a little shower curtain to hang up across the hole
Looks like a hotel. Best just to ask the front desk for extra towels.

Sorry, are you talking about showers with broken doors, or showers without a door at all?
If the latter, how TF is that supposed to even work? Are we talking like a communal shower, where the door is too far away from the shower for water to splash out?

When I used to install custom shower enclosures, I would quietly cringe every time someone wanted one of these awful things. What I would usually compromise with the customer on is, size the panel so that the walk-through opening was sized correctly to accept a stock door, if they want to add one later. I’d say more than half of clients would add the door less than a year later.

I swear the Brits still think it’s the feudal times with their two spouts sinks, half enclosed showers, light switches outside the bathroom, and of course driving on the incorrect side of the bloody damned road! Yes I bitter much… at least the French have the food to make up for their eccentricities.
You’re missing the point, though. For the British, the suffering is what gives life meaning.
Come to Korea! Many bathrooms are just closets with a toilet and a sink with a shower head attached and you just shower in the bathroom and soak anything that’s in there.
Not only that, the draft coming in makes you freezing cold the entire time, forcing you to huddle under the water for most of your shower, thus wasting it and washing away the soap you’re trying to lather in.
A hotel I stayed at once had this exact same shower and I can confirm that water did in fact get everywhere. I wouldn’t be surprised if the building collapsed after a few years due to water damage rotting/eroding away the support beams under the floor.
Yeah, I don’t get this new trend of doorless showers. One of the many modern interior designs I think are bad/ugly. What’s the deal with modern minimalism? Shit is ugly.
Also, this kind of design is gonna make for cold ass showers in the winter unless you pump your heat all day and night.
Doorless showers are great for the elderly, disabled, orgies, you name it- WHEN DONE RIGHT. This is far from correct. The shower spray should be spraying away from the entry, not right fucking at it. It’s puzzling because it looks like the control valve is on the near side so they routed the head all the way around to be in the wrong place? Even then, this is kind of a small space for a doorless. Also, one of those stupid corner shelves and a safety handle way the fuck in the corner. Buy a shower rod and floor length curtain to hang inside the glass wall. It’ll be real fancy.
Had a doorless one at my last place and it was great. The shower head was pointed at the side wall vs the open door, so maybe it kept it cleaner.
You really need a lip to stop spills, I wanted one for mine but didn’t have the space for it… So ended up with just a normal door (╯°□°）╯︵ ┻━┻
If you still are in that space, one of those things you can put over cables so you won’t trip over then would make a great lip

They shouldn’t. If this is new enough construction, the contractor needs to fix this.
The shower-head is the issue. Doorless installs like that need a rain shower head.
