The reason poor men voted for trump

“Poor men” didn’t vote for Trump. People without college degrees voted disproportionately for Trump (men and women alike). Even then, the state you’re in and your ethnic/religious persuasion was a stronger casual factor. Trump lost in a landslide with poor black and east-asian men, for instance. And he lost on the margin among poor men in the northeast and west coast.

Trump actually won with a majority of white women, against Hillary, Biden, and Kamala. This comic neatly illustrates why.

Show proof of causation and stop bringing up correlation like it means the same thing. Braindead takes like yours would see us ban ice cream just because ice cream sales are positively correlated with violent crime.

People being poor because they don’t have a college education is something that needs proof now? Are you fucking stupid?

Edit: Correlation: the state or relation of being correlated

specifically : a relation existing between phenomena or things or between mathematical or statistical variables which tend to vary, be associated, or occur together in a way not expected on the basis of chance alone.

Every claim needs to be backed up. Correlation does not equal causation, period

You know, it would be really nice if people would think before they post a stupid comment.

They’re poor because they can’t get a good job without an education, not because they’re stupid, though you might be an exception.

You were not clarifying, you were making a snide comment assuming my position. I responded in kind.

I was commenting on someone mentioning that people without college degrees voted disproportionately for Trump. They implied that being poor had little to do with that statement, and I pointed out the obvious correlation between them. Not sure where the confusion is coming from.

Since you apparently know what I was posting and my intent far better than I do I don’t see a reason to continue the conversation. Have a day 👋
