Sept 1 (Reuters) - A Bank of America (BAC.N), opens new tab vice president was killed in a stabbing in New York City’s Times Square on Monday, sending a shock wave through the bank after the random incident took place in broad daylight in the heart of the city’s tourist industry.
Erin Piacenti, 32, was a vice president in BofA’s business selection and conflicts unit, according to her LinkedIn profile. The NYPD said that the suspect was a woman with a history of mental health issues.
Probably was exactly as described, but I still question anything cops say, especially NYPD. There’s a chance they killed her to prevent discovery that this wasn’t a random event, to avoid another Luigi situation. Not a big chance, but a chance. Ten years ago, I would have scoffed at such a suggestion, now I’m making it myself.
