Satirical news site The Onion said it has reached an agreement to take over conspiracy theorist Alex Jones’ InfoWars company, in a move that could help repay the more than $1 billion he owes the families of Sandy Hook shooting victims.
I mean, accurate. They have reached a deal. But an important caveat is that the deal still needs to get cleared legally.[1] Which is fairly likely — the court that would do so was the same one in which Alex Jones lost one of his costly defamation lawsuits, so it’s hardly a friend to him despite being in Texas. But even then, the idiot in question will be able to appeal the decision, so The Onion is hardly in the clear.
Right. “Reached.”
