The president’s role here is curious, since his job has little to do with power a lot to do with distracting people from the real sources of power. We’re never told who really has the power in this government. Is it the civil service bureaucracy, which is full of Vogons? Is it corporations, like the Sirius Cybernetics Corporation? We don’t know. All we do know is that power is something Zaphod doesn’t have. After all, this is one of only two footnotes in the entire book.

I watched the video. Sadly, the photo has been doctored unnecessarily. He definitely nodded off while the CEO of Regeneron was talking, but his head never tilted that way. Its an unfortunate decision because it gives MAGA something to point to and call it all “fake news”.

Unfortunately the media 100% didn’t do its job when Biden was publicly sundowning, and that’s why we’re in this position to begin with. It should never have been normalized that it’s okay to be president with a non-functioning brain.
