What is the best app to browse Lemmy
I currently use Blorp
I heard Jerboa is also good which one are you using? Best if app is available on fdroid
I’m trying Blorp right now, since I do not want to figure out how to side load Jerboa onto my Android. (Thanks Google you bag of dicks.) So far Blorp is great, my only complaint being I wish three was a way to increase text/font size because I am old now and my eyeballs don’t work as well as they did.
Blorp dev here. I think you should be able to increase this via some system setting, though admittedly I’ve only tested this on iOS. The goal was to read whatever os preference you set for font size, but if this isn’t working for people, I may need to add an app level override.
I made the native font bigger on my phone and it fixed it. Thanks!
Summit, by far. Voyager gets a lot of recommendations but it’s not nearly as slick.
Used to love jerboa but stopped working for me. I think is because of my instance. I use photon now, it’s ok.
Waterfox, it’s a fork of Firefox with no AI slop.
You don’t need an app, just open it in browser.
I use Raccoon because it’s open source and implements Material Design

I’ve only used Jeroba. It works great for me, but with the google garbage going on, Im going to have to root my phone to sideload? I guess? So. thats my summer plan.

Boost while not perfect has very few flaws for me. Whenever I receive a DM I have to go the web interface to get the notification to go away though. But that’s the worst of it
I also recommend Boost. Slick ui, very user friendly
As a former RIF user, I haven’t found anything better than Jerboa. Which is shame because it will never support piefed.
Also a former big fan of RIF and I found Boost a fairly easy transition.
Summit is absolutely wonderful
I use Thunder, and I am very happy with it generally.
I used to use (and paid for) Sync for Lemmy previously, but I had the impression bugs didn’t get fixed, so I switched away from them.I’ve been using interstellar (alexandrite on desktop) for some time and rather like it. Nice clean and useful UI, a bit buggy at times. Only other one I tried was voyager but wasn’t a huge fan.

Blorp dev here. What I can I do to bring Blorp to the top of the list in your opinion?
Hi @moseschrute@lemmy.world. Blorp is equal to summit in features and ui—sometimes even ahead. For example emoji reactions and image loading speed, swiping image posts etc.
And I have both on my phone and keep switching between them.
The main reason I prefer summit is because the ui is very snappy on my phone. There’s no lag or skipped frames during animations or after clicking a button.
One issue I had with blorp is: when you click on a lemmy link summit opens it inside the app itself but blorp opens it in the browser. It breaks the flow and I can’t interact with it because I’m not logged in there. Hope that made sense.
I’m using Boost (and Vger but preferred Boost from Reddit days too). I got used to Infinity on Reddit after Boost ended and wish they’d make a Lemmy version of that now.
