Maybe Beep should just be banned from the community. Tho the comm needs an active mod. Lawrence has not been online for at least a month.

Is the community even moderated? There’s only one mod listed and they haven’t made a post for a month. Despite the community seeming to need some input from them.
Pretty much no unfortunately. Otherwise beep would have long since been dealt with, if not for stripping the artist credit but also for spamming the community.
We’d need a system in place to facilitate community takeovers when a mod has long been inactive. I don’t mean the current mod should be removed, just that another mod should be added in cases like this just to be more clear.
.World already has a way to do that.
You just reach out to the admins. They’re pretty chill about it.
That’s good to hear :) Not personally willing, it’s a different league running a popular comics forum prone to heated comment chains vs low traffic hobby forums. I just trying to get the idea out there and maybe encourage someone with thicker skin to step up.
I’d step up to do it myself but reports don’t federate to other instances and this is a way larger, more active community than what I already mod for.
FYI it does appear at least one person has volunteered to step up to the plate if the current mod doesn’t respond to admins soon

I’d be totally cool with that guy as a mod. I’ve seen him around and I may not always agree with him, but he’s really respectful and his replies are always very well thought out. That dude is a good dude.
I have pretty much the same sentiment. I have had a couple interactions and they’ve been pleasant. I think I’ve run across a few comments they’ve made that were taken in poor taste but we’re not inherently bad

I’ve only had one interaction in a thread about women’s pockets, why there is no good reason that clothing companies don’t add them, and how it comes from historical sexism. It’s a topic I can get a bit heated over too, but guy was cool.
Every other interaction I’ve seen from him has been really polite and his responses were well thought out. I have him tagged as “good dude” lol
