I look at it more as like you’ve got that time to reckon with what your ancestors did to get you your cozy empire and try to make right, or else be crushed by the weight of their unrepentant sins
250 years. We had a good run, but no empire lasts forever. I’m sure the Greeks, Romans, Ottomans and Mongols thought they would be around forever too.
