A little maybe, but not much.

I’ve seen people say they left reddit to join Lemmy because of the toxic users. To each their own, but I personally think Lemmings aren’t much better. Some people over here can’t understand that sensitive questions can be asked without bad intent. People are way too defensive about their opinions.

It is disappointing, but it’s the better option.

    Ah the ever elusive hive mind always gets brought up when people disagree with you. And it always changes funny how the hive mind can have contrasting opinions depending on who is divining it.

      the hive mind on lemmy is pretty easy to see. a lot of communities here straight up are based on hive mind thining and loudly declare themselves as such.

      I never thought ‘reddit’ as a whole had a hivemind, but on various subreddits there was obvious clear consensus on various topics in the community, some of which were objectively stupid and wrong or a form of collective bullying.

      at least on lemmy people are blowing up my PMs with insults, on lemmy they have the decency to do that publicly in a thread.
