Holy crap this made me think of Nier: Automata. I’m pretty sure there is a dialogue, cut scene or some other context in which they say, “do androids dream of…” But I can’t remember the last part. Maybe “humans”? And I’m sure Nier got its inspiration from some philosopher or classical litterateur that I don’t know of.
It’s a reference. The story that became “Blade Runner” was titled: “Do Androids dream of electric sheep?” Written by Philip K Dick.
