Democratic socialism became more in vogue among progressive Democrats following Sen. Bernie Sanders’s (I-Vt.) two presidential campaigns. His failed bids for the presidency inspired some dissatisfied with the Democratic Party’s response to Trump and on legislation that it led several DSA-affiliated candidates, including Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.), to run for office and win.

The enemy is Donald Trump and anyone who enables him.
Get with the program, Jeffries, or GTFO.
We have more than one enemy. 4 specific ones in politics.
Corrupt bought Dems. Aipac. Republicans. Billionaires.
Did I forget anyone ?
Do you, Hakeem?
5 dollars says he is worried that the left won’t want to cooperate to push a neo-liberal agenda.
This is it. He’s calculated that there aren’t enough true progressives to oust him as minority (possibly soon majority) leader, so he’s superficially making a neutral statement but really telling the progressives he expects them to fall in line.
I hoped that Jeffries would remember that, but here we are, talking about wanting his feckless loser ass to resign, and it’s because he fucking sucks at standing up to the enemy. Get out of the fucking way, Hakeem. You’re a shitty Obama impression, and he was a half-measure president who shouldn’t have compromised.
And aipac
Ok Uncle Tom 👍
Yes but, HE ENABLES THAT ENEMY.
The enemy is Trump AND anyone who doesn’t fight him tooth and nail using every available tactic. I.E. Dems in power from 2021-2023 who could’ve prevented ALL OF THIS.
Maybe not prevented fully, but at least delayed. Instead the opened the whole door and let him waltz in.
The enemy isn’t Donald Trump. Even if he were swapped out for the best intentioned Democrat president, the voting people would continue to suffer and the rich get richer.
The enemy people are beginning to identify are those who are placing corporate capitalism above people.
Sure, people don’t want fascism or populism, but they also don’t want libertarianism or corporate feudalism. It’s possible to not like ANY of those options and still value the US constitution.
