  • Q: What % of people that are abusive in the various ways, some even convicted of crimes, support controlling, authoritarian ways, vs warm and authoritative ways, equality, etc?

A: If you group all abusers together, roughly 85% to 90% actively support or default to controlling, authoritarian methods to handle their relationships. The remaining 10% to 15% might state they believe in equality or warmth, but their personal actions fundamentally break those principles due to antisocial traits or psychological instability. • It’s true in many ways, but balls aren’t needed lol. The controlling systems (like maga that the voters elected) use propaganda against minorities for problems they did not cause to stir fear and tribalism. They keep people afraid, or unable, to take one day off, a Monday or Friday for a long weekend maybe. 23% don’t have paid sick time to use for a day, maybe use vacation if they have it and ask early enough. True it’s not like the fear of wars like in so many places today still, tragically. They are all caused by the controlling systems, for supernatural reasons, greed, punching down or all those.

Workers in other countries have those benefits and healthcare not bound to employers. Other countries have abusive working conditions and other life stress, that is another tragedy. Some states with enough Democrat majority, passed paid sick and family leave, school meals for all and other things that help working people. Those benefits could be national with enough Dem majority, AND for long enough to pass the changes, that people notice in their lives, like happened with ACA eventually, while maga attempts to sabotage it.

I’m afraid enough people get the “good benefits” so they wrongly think everyone can and don’t want it for all, and they are team maga. It is part of the founding lore of usa, land of the free, do it all on their own with bare hands, self-made, etc. As if many people in other lands didn’t work hard from meager start and do well. It’s all been done before, not special, it’s the indoctrination. Let’s do better, unite to solve the global climate refugee crisis, and keep human health as the top goal! Be excellent to each other!

  • I ran it by an llm and it seemed thoughtful about it, it uses MN as a model since it had the highest participation rate earlier in the year. Here is some of what it returned:

Based on the Minnesota model, union density data (BLS 2025), and what actually happened on May 1, here’s a reasonable extrapolation for states most likely to see a replicated “full” general strike (i.e., businesses/schools actually closing, not just rallies):

Effectiveness ceiling: A one-day strike in any single state (even NY) would not paralyze the national economy. The real leverage is simultaneous multi-state action — if MN + NY + IL + CA + WA + NJ all hit the “Minnesota threshold” on the same day, you’d see:

~30–40% of the national MTA-equivalent transit system down 200+ school districts closed Major port disruptions (LA, NY/NJ, Seattle) Boeing/Amazon/Apple supply chain hit

    Edit: check for accuracy

  • Dems will pass improvements to aca if enough majority to do it, but will get repealed when voters go back to maga. Need at least 8 years of Dem prez and enough majority to pass shit, that’s not blocked by courts, so people see they like it better than before and want to keep it. Healthcare for all costs less and healthier people, don’t lose with layoffs, but still not enough people care, or believe the propaganda against it. They have insurance they think is good, but it’s not if they understood the whole story, and what about others that don’t have the right job with “good insurance” and much easier to have universal healthcare and cut insurance out. Many industries and companies fade away and it’s time for the health insurance scam to fade.

  • I think so too unfortunately. Even if Dems win a majority, how much, and w/o executive can’t change much. Then get blamed they had hearings for 2 years rather than unite and fix all the damage, that the bad choices last election caused/made worse, but no awareness of that.

Much easier and faster to destroy things than build, but tiktok feeds won’t mention that, and will convince enough to make the bad choices again. I hope I’m wrong and people show up and elect Dems with enough majority, for enough time, to make the changes people claim to want. It can’t be done if every other cycle destroys the progress Dems make when they ever have enough majority, and people don’t realize all this and think vote the other way to fix what they “feel” is wrong. Right/wrong thinking, it’s part of why we’re regressing.
