The proposed settlement would apply to people in the US who purchased all models of the iPhone 16 and the iPhone 15 Pro between June 10th, 2024 and March 29th, 2025.
People who submit qualifying claims can receive $25 for each eligible device, “which may decrease or increase up to $95 per device, depending on claim volume and other factors,” according to Clarkson Law Firm, the legal team behind the class action lawsuit.

They do take a cut. But they take a cut from the credit card company, not from the shop owner and not from you. The cut the shop owner has to pay is the same as with a „normal“ credit card payment.
So the fee is now shared between the credit card company and Apple/google (I don’t know how much, but I doubt it is 50:50)

Sure. But that is what they mean with the experience. It is not about the coffee itself.

Ask them how many Rs are in strawberry.

The coffee is not the experience. Everything around that coffee is. The mug, the barista with a smile, the friendly words, the lighting, the music there, the seats, the flower pots, …

Where you happy with the Lenovo thinkcentre? You can often find replacement motherboards for these. It will be cheaper than any of the alternatives here.

No the culprit was not the AI. It was the lack of understanding what it can and what it can not do. And blaming something like this on a large language model is plain incompetence

There are plenty of Mediaplayers on the AppStore that can play about any movie you throw at it…

You are right, it can indeed sync fotos. But due to the nature of iOS, it can not do full system backups (but no app from the App Store can do that) If all you want to backup are fotos, then it can do that.

These work in their own „folders“ on iOS, they can not be used to do a backup of fotos or other things…

Well that entirely depends on your users… coding agents or in general agents that run for hours will crash your calculation
How so? Most things should be detected automatically. Dashboards can also be populated automatically, same as with google home. If you want better dashboards, it will take more work.
Which points give you pain?

Same with new tech. Why do people buy new stuff every one or two years? Because fomo. You can not tell anyone that device that was good enough for you last year is now not fulfilling your needs anymore.
Very minor bug:
I have an „old“ iPad Pro 11“ (first generation without home button. It is plugged in almost 24/7 and lives on the kitchen counter. Sometimes in the mornings, the screen will be powered on very dimly, black background, nothing on it but the home bar and the battery indicator at the top:
(please excuse the dirty screen, touching it clears the screen)
After touching it, or pressing the power button, it will return to normal.
Yes, it entirely depends on how it is specced. And wheel bolts are specced dry.
If you lube the threads, you need to torque them lower. Otherwise you will add more tension than intended, possible deforming the bolts permanently or even breaking them.

This one here in this post is only a prototype. The ekranoplans where actually used.
Well the MacBook neo has a lot of appeal. If it can run Linux, the demand will only rise
