I’ve noticed that you seem to hate living in WA, every comment you make about it is hating on it in some way. You’ve even claimed that blue states deserved raids by ICE because they have gun control. Look at all of your comments in the Washington community: they’re mostly anti-legislature, hating on WA voters, or blaming anyone besides the rich (Brian Heywood) when ballot initiatives don’t work out. Why do you live here if you hate it so much? There are plenty of nearby states that are cheaper to live in and do not have the democratic supermajority that you hate so much.

You’re doing the right process. Concrobium is great, just make sure you get the relative humidity down below 40% for it to work properly. The good thing about it is that it creates a permanent film on most surfaces that doesn’t allow mold to grow again. Luckily mold is generally something that gets you sick over time, most mold anyway. It’s not an instant thing, and the spores are always in the air and on surfaces regardless of what you do. I’m not an expert, but I do think that a lot of people see any type of mold and associate with the classic black mold. Most of the time, it’s not that type of mold, even if it’s black in color.

Good that you had treated wood there, but is there anything below this area, like a basement or crawlspace? If it’s anything other than a concrete slab, you may have to check that out to see how damaged it might be.

I agree when it comes to most “smart” home devices. However, I wired an ESP32 to my heat pump for remote control and automation, which has been absolutely fantastic. Also, I use a ton of ZigBee and zwave, since those are not “smart” by themselves and are local-only.

A classic. LLMs can help if you know what you’re doing on your own, at the cost of having to burn tokens while basically having to guide it to the result you need. The second you use it for something you’re not an expert in, you enter pure slop territory. The fact is that LLMs are constantly hallucinating but with guardrails that allow them to sometimes hallucinate the correct result.

And yes, I’m in tech and have experience. The only way it’s going to “take” my job is if it crashes the entire economy because the bubble pops or an executive needs to pump some stock from braindead morons on wall street.
