Do not underestimate what Trump is doing for Russia or other authoritarian regimes.
Trump has essentially made it possible for fully authoritarian countries to exist with near unchecked power. They existed before, sure, but they were held back by other countries and the US.
US soft power is gone and will take decades to build back, something in my that Republicans have all but assured will not happen unless there is a reckoning. The United States has essentially become an isolationist country within a year of Trump’s second term.

You kid but it literally starts this way. Imagine if someone like Paul McCartney says, “I’m moving over to mastodon and you should too.”
He starts to share exclusive content there, sharing videos on loops…
People will stop going to other places.
But the content has to come first.

As a technologist, I have to remind everyone that AI is not intelligence. It’s a word prediction/statistical machine. It’s guessing at a surprisingly good rate what words follow the words before it.
It’s math. All the way down.
We as humans have simply taken these words and have said that it is “intelligence”.

Gotta love they ask for your income level before asking your name.

I know nothing about mobile OS development. How realistic is it at this point for someone to fork Android?
I know that software like Edge and Iron Fox can be forked and worked on by independent people. But Android is developed to integrate tightly with proprietary hardware.
The problem is that most of these assets are digitally held. What we need is an anonymous type attack against these accounts, similar in style to what they did in Mr. Robot.
Make it near impossible for the government to claw the money back.
