The difference is from the JP version, you can’t change the region to outside JPN, console language to ENG nor can you log in using a foreign Nintendo account, that’s the part making it region locked.

ATM’s don’t even disperse them, as they cap at 50€ (so in order to acquire 800€ in 500€, 200€ & 100€ notes: I had to visit a bank to withdraw in person via a teller requesting specific denominations). Will electronic stores accept 2000€ in cash for an iPhone 18 consisting of x10 200€ or x4 500€ notes?

When the Burj Khalifa was first constructed there’s a flaw, they didn’t install a proper sewer system. So what happened was that “poop” trucks showed up to collect waste in which is taken to a sewage plant. That only ceased when people demanded for a pipe to be installed connecting the building to the main sewer system.

I have a 200€ (& 500€) note, but stores hesitate to accept either due to fears of being a counterfeit. Jobs don’t pay in cash anymore (as salaries are given via bank transfer), you can withdraw either by heading to a bank (in person) requesting higher denominations since most ATMs cap at 50-100€ depending on the country.

I come from a country where police training takes 2-3 years and cadets must possess a Batchelor’s degree in law or psychology. For example, in Sweden: there’s a watch dog that hold cops accountable for corruption. Since cops are meant to serve the community rather than flex hostility treating civilians as enemies.

The warrior mindset that US cops have is exacerbating the problem, as in they train cops the same manner as soldiers (which isn’t even comparable). In Europe, there’s emphasis on LE serving the community and they have actual teams specialized in mental health de-escalation.

You don’t hear stuff like “black person gets shot for holding an object” in Switzerland frequently, since that barely happens. The reason may be that the populace is homogenous (consisting of predominantly Caucasians) and less public distrust towards authorities.

Do YOU drive to work or use public transport? Both cost money (such as the bus fare) and driving (you pay tolls for using the interstate), so there’s no “free” way to commute.

That also adds more expenses: like gasoline, if the route they use has a gas station (fuel costs money) alongside tolls for highways (interstate) plus traffic at peak hour (not even going to discuss parking).

I think casino ATMs disperse them, but people’s paycheck isn’t handed out in cash (unless their payroll has issues) as a friend of mine got handed $3000 with just x30 $100 bills from his job as their system wasn’t working at the time, usually they pay people via EFT.

When I visited as a tourist, why do ATMs only disperse $50 bills upon withdrawing large sums (i.e. $500) when Australia clearly has a $100 bill? Why does it exist when barely anyone uses it for regular transactions?

There’s another anachronism from that movie around 34 minutes in (during the scene where the nurses are on a transport ship heading for the hospital) as the movie is set in the 1940s: you can literally see the USS Arizona memorial in the background as pictured and circled below:

It’s a nitpicky detail that made it on the final cut, since that wasn’t built until 1962 (way after the war!).

That reminds me of a war movie I’ve watched, when Josh Hartnett’s character said “I think WWII has just started” during the attack on Pearl Harbor. (That line is historically inaccurate).

In reality, people would just call consider it a “war” (referring to the European theater) or “Jap invasion of America” marking the US entry into the conflict (the term WWII was not coined yet until after).
