A heavy back pack can be good for your posture if it is worn correctly. Hence why people in the military tend to have good posture. Too many people wear their back pack too low so its just hanging on their shoulders or they fling it over a single shoulder.

In all seriousness, this is irreparable damage that will take more than a few terms to put right, that’s even if you have an administration that is willing to make amends. I’m gonna go out on a whim here and guess it was during the Tory government. Having said that, Palantir do seem to have a worryingly high amount of support from the current administration.

Same in the UK, but its more a case of protecting people or who are liable to being scammed.
