That looks amazing. I’d like some chili and maybe some onion or something (and probably plantain rather than banana), but I’d definitely eat this if someone put it in front of me.

As someone who lives in Asia: huh?!
/ Asia be big, yo.

A lot of broken relationships followed by relief years later, assuming near-universal adoption; if everyone were just honest, it would stop a lot of issues. Abusers, gaslighters, sociopaths, etc. would presumably hate the whole experience.
I got it for free, but I couldn’t get through it. It was grindy (even as I got to the point where I could make a zombie worker or something similar (though I didn’t actually do that yet)) and didn’t really hold my attention. I’ve not played stardew, harvest moon, nor any others that I can think of, so it may just be the genre isn’t really for me.

When I used to work at restaurants, I only ever heard it in the context of being out of something; I’ve never heard it used to refer to excluding something from a dish. I wonder if that’s regional or generational or something. Interesting.

We don’t have sales numbers to work with, but they sponsor videos and do all kinds of stuff. Especially with all the AI hype, they could be unwisely using their money. Only they know that, however. They’ve not done right by many of their employees nor consumers for more than the last fiscal year, though.
In general, the whole ‘game studio builds thing then lays people off’ is just gross to me. Here in Japan, we don’t have that because it would be illegal. Companies have to be more prudent in their hiring, planning, spending, and saving. All workers should have those rights and I try to avoid giving money to companies that do not grant them.

Yet people keep rewarding this awful behavior (at this company and others) with their wallets.
They also have extreme cultural bias and other issues.
Well, turn on the liberator next time.

Now the hunt is on for skeletonless heads!

Most dark chocolate I’ve had sucks the moisture completely out of my mouth and leaves just bitterness. It’s not an enjoyable experience at all. Cacao percentage plays a role, but anything north of around 75% I can’t stand at all.

As someone living in Japan, this seems like a perfect use case for vending machines.

Not exclusive to the US. Here in Japan (and I’m sure plenty of places) as well.

As someone who had to take tomorrow off to visit the vehicle inspection place, I’m getting a kick…

Their apparent bait-and-switch on fallout 76 goods, constantly releasing incomplete products, greed, and a host of other issues made me stop giving them money. I was a paying ESO member when the fallout 76 stuff was happening and that was the last straw for me; no more money for them until they have a proven track record.
What is it with people in vehicles taking an upward-angled photo of their face? I noticed this in another post where the identity of the person didn’t even have anything to do with the content. Is this a new trend or something?
I’m in my mid-40s. I simultaneously feel 20 and 70 and that becomes about 327 when I interact with anyone under tha age of about 30.
I cut down a tree yesterday for a few reasons. One was that these bastards were way too interested in it and it’s right next to my house’s door (the other was roots damaging the house as it grew bigger and blocking light in my window). I had one in the house the first year we moved here and that was not a fun experience.
Over a decade in Japan and I still struggle with natto and never order it. I got over the smell. I don’t really care for the slimy/string texture of things, but I can eat other things. If I try to eat more than one or two beans at a time, I involuntarily gag. Some flavor component of it kills me. I make my own ferments (Korean-inspired daikon with fish sauce, chili, and some other stuff is the most recent, fermented at room temp for a few days then into the fridge) and have no trouble with them.
