0·4 days agoYou’re one of today’s lucky 10,000!
Tzatziki is a creamy, tangy Greek yogurt-based sauce or dip made with shredded cucumber, garlic, olive oil, and fresh herbs like dill or mint, often served as a meze (appetizer) with pita bread and vegetables, or as a topping for gyros, souvlaki, and grilled meats or fish. It’s known for being cool, refreshing, and versatile, with a simple preparation that involves mixing strained yogurt with grated, squeezed cucumber, minced garlic, herbs, and a splash of lemon juice or vinegar.

Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•Straight people, would you date a non-binary person?
0·4 days agoYeah, I’m not sure why some have such a hard time understanding this. It’s like they want it to be more complicated than it is, and always searching for explanations. Sometimes there will be no explanation for the way you’ll feel. The sooner you realize that, the better.

0·4 days agoBéchamel is one of the mother sauces. It’s meant to be used as a base or carrier sauce, never on its own. You can make an absolutely fire mac and cheese sauce by starting with a béchamel btw. Just don’t skip the flour sifter, that shit’s vital.

0·4 days agoThe gun store by my house is run by batshit crazy far right lunatics and still, to this day puts a new Obama-based “meme” poster up in the window a few times a year.
The most recent one is Obama as the Easter Bunny holding an AK pointed at a basket of eggs. Not entirely sure what they were going for there but, yeah, brains are permanently fried.

0·7 days agoI think they’d just rather not find out. Or, rather, would like to be as prepared as possible to “get away with” not implementing it, or will find some middle way.
The hardliners here will complain that they’re not saying “fuck you” to The Man forcefully enough. In reality, they do that just by existing. These guys are the backbone of digital sovereignty. If some of them fold and comply in advance, then yeah, fuck them in particular, but let the others cook. They’re fighting for survival, not engaging in fan service.

0·7 days agoMy personal daily driver, a 14-year old Thinkpad w/ the same debian install for 10 of those years, runs 10x snappier, cooler and quieter than the MS surface IT at work gave me just 2 months ago. It’s also built like a tank and has a clicky keyboard and a sexy red nipple. I never have to think about how many tabs I have open, and it does everything I need it to, the first time, without unexplained delays.
The surface only runs kinda ok with constant policing of resources, absolutely everything non essential disabled at startup (including OneDrive, which I now have to run on an adhoc basis due to its performance impact) and also needs to be on top of a laptop cooler with fans to not overheat and shit itself, so it’s not even fully portable.
