Is your point supposed to be “it would be a relatively small pile of radioactive waste”? There aren’t all that many nuclear power plants in the world because it never has been economically viable.
How did nobody recommend I’m a Train by Albert Hammond??

Also backwards compatibility. I can buy a new shiny modern PC and nearly all the games I bought in the past 3 years will run.

I love Steam hardware, but yes, it’s close to unacceptable that it doesn’t default to like xinput or whatever.

If you don’t need trackpads or touch sensitive sticks, there are better options out there. If you do need those things and want input parity with Steam Deck, it’s going to be a great experience.
There will also certainly be community developed drivers in a few months so you can use it outside of Steam.

I haven’t actually tried Dolphin on Windows, not sure how usable it is

Gaming aside, it’s incredible how bad Windows Explorer performs compared to e.g. Dolphin. It’s performance got even worse with Windows 11, but at least it finally has tabs now

It will never be officially usable outside of steam, but there will 100% be community developed drivers, at least for Linux. The original Steam Controller has had those for years

The trackpads are amazing, actually. It’s fine to not like them. In that case, get a cheaper controller and have fun! 100€ is very expensive, but there is no other product out there that offers what Steam Controller does. Also, touch enabled gyro (be it the sticks or trackpads) is a complete game changer for me.

There is what used to be the “Mail App” that was introduced with Win10. That was renamed to Outlook. A new Outlook was then installed automatically that was called Outlook (new). At some point, Outlook was renamed "Outlook (classic) and Outlook (new) was renamed “Outlook”. On top of that there is the Outlook that is part of the MS Office suite, if you have that installed.
I’m not entirely sure how accurate my memory of this desaster is, though. I don’t use Windows on my personal machines, I noticed this on a friend’s computer I was fixing.

I believe there are three products called Outlook, actually

I’ll happily pay 100€ if I have to. It’ll only be one for that price, though
Bikes are incredibly cheaper than cars, cars need new tires more often, car tires are way more expensive, you can make tires without fossil oil. I’m not sure I get your point. What was your point?

The German ID card has that functionality. Date of birth is saved on the chip card and you can identify yourself via NFC reader and the open source ID app. You can see what information is transmitted before sending it. In the case of age verification, it would only be “underage yes/no”. It’s not perfect but pretty good from a privacy standpoint.
Stupid question, but does pihole offer any substantial benefit over using a remote ad-blocking DNS like AdGuard or whatever?

Oh, yeah I wasn’t joking. I had been depressed and anxious since puberty and didn’t really understand that (because “that’s just how life is, right?”) until I developed actual panic attacks and started therapy. Turns out I’m also autistic and have severe ADHD and that I’m not the lazy loser I thought I was. Therapy also enabled me to access and process my feelings a lot better, which helps me be a good partner. I simply wasn’t ready for a relationship before all that.

I was almost 30 when I first kissed someone, had sex, fell in love. She’s the first and will hopefully be the last and I wouldn’t change a thing. (Except I should have gone to therapy 10 years earlier)
Educated, rich men still send unwanted dick pics
Not to be that person, but the actual conditions of the average dairy cow aren’t really better than this
