They’re not actually a domain registrar, and you do not really own the domain.
We’re not actually a domain name registration service, we’re a customer to these. We sit in between the domain name registration service and you, acting as a privacy shield.
I’m currently using Porkbun as the registrar of my choice. They are not good, but they’re a lot better than every other provider I was able to find.
Can you provide anything factual that supports this statement?
Also, don’t feel down because of the downvotes; some people are apparently afraid of “(…) polite and fruitful discussion” and would rather suppress opinions they disagree with.
Another way to think about this whole privacy debate is something I see way too rarely in non-European and English-speaking communities: data protection. Sometimes you don’t care if others know this or that, but knowledge is power, and knowledge about you is power over you.
Example: An employer might not employ you because they find out that you have mental health issues. In Germany, an employer cannot legally request this information, but if you were transparent about it from the beginning, you might have a hard time finding a job.
I guess our only hope is for the EU court to deem it unlawful?

Supporting organisations and political parties that fight these proposals also helps.
31·10 days agoI wonder why they still haven’t had their domain taken away, as it is hard to believe they didn’t upset their local government too.
The worst thing the UK could do is sanction the country where responsible people live, though I consider this unlikely. The second worst thing they could do is just block it nationwide on a network level.
Cloudfare doesn’t let me through. 🙄
The one where any random player can report another for any reason and have a portion of the chatlog (without consent of any others) send to Microslop.
I see, I wouldn’t call this chat control, but rather a report system, it’s not comparable to e.g. the EU chat control.
Also there used to be secret library Minecraft servers in china with banned books and thats why there is a separate chinese Minecraft edition now with social media features and all players are identified with all chats monitored.

If the majority of people would be right, the world wouldn’t be where it is today. Also, I do not tolerate insults, get blocked.
And I told you it’s not, with an real example.

So in your definition a private company has to do with privacy? I recommend you take a dictionary and follow your own advice.
It is about the ESA misunderstanding Microsoft’s and Mojang’s license agreement, nothing more.
