He continued in a similar, ranty vein, “Don’t believe the Radical Left’s Fake Poll numbers. They are Crooked and Corrupt, just like the Country Destroying Dumocrats are Crooked and Corrupt. VOTE REPUBLICAN FOR GREATNESS IN AMERICA!”

Fresh data from CNN puts his approval at a meager 34 percent, matching his post-Jan. 6 trough, while a new AP-NORC poll has him tied at a post-2017 low of 33 percent. Quinnipiac paints an even grimmer picture, dropping him to a career low of 32 percent.

Yeah, ‘tied with 2017’ and this is supposed to be news. The only news here is that 30% of the electorate remain idiots. I’m kind of dead curious to see what the world would have to look like for them to gain even the tiniest shred of awareness. Unfortunately, we might actually get the chance.

As long as outlets like the Daily Beast keep talking about him and keeping his name out there he is getting what he wants. You want to hurt Trump, one of the best ways is to not pay any attention to him.

Wait, what? How did his approval rating shoot up to 34%? It was at 29% last time I checked… We need to get that percentage back down below 30!

Many. I haven’t seen any signs of his support waning where I live. Same signs, flags, bumper stickers, etc. Even the Trump 2028 crap. And if you read the comments on my local newspaper’s website, you’ll hear plenty from them.

His current obsession with the threat of “communism” really seems to be resonating with them.

They would have to know it to forget it. Our news sources had poor and little coverage of it all long term. Their news sources praised and cheerleaded it. They don’t live in reality.

Nothing has actually moved his approval more than a few percentage points up or down since mid-2016. He had slight bumps in approval at the start of both terms in office, but otherwise his approval hovered at or close to the low 40s.

Americans are about the dumbest people you can imagine. Lazy and selfish too. They don’t care enough about anything but their own personal situations to do anything meaningful to help society anymore. We are watching an empire crumble…and they simply don’t care enough to fix it.

America is the land of the fee, and the home of the slave.

btw “communists” are just any people who think the health insurance industry is fucked and way too expensive, and that all people deserve to be treated equally, and that the ultra wealthy shouldn’t have as much power as they do.

Has nothing to do with actual communism but the far right propaganda machine is trying to poison any of these ideas with a radioactive word to anyone who remembers the red scare in the 1950s (which, btw, was also a complete bullshit witch hunt because workers were getting too many rights at that point and starting to cut into potential profits of the ultra wealthy cancerous tumors).

      REPUBLICAN

      VOTERS

      LOVE

      RAPING

      CHILDREN

      AND

      GENOCIDE

Everyone who ever gaslit you that this wasn’t the case was wrong.

Republicans are, at their very best, the parents who know their kids are being raped by an adult, and punish the kid for speaking up about it because it embarrasses them and they rather the child rape happen in the dark.

They’re locked in a decades-long cycle of abusive extraction.

American religion, politics, economics, and ecology are reaching the limits of an unsustainable system that only knows how to extract wealth and power. The Soviet Union collapsed for similar reasons. Above all, that form of government collapsed under the weight of propping up The Party’s false reality and its debts to the truth. Real operating principles flow from hard-learned evidence, experience, and wisdom. Societies simply cannot operate indefinitely from convoluted principals engineered to benefit only the few. This is the flaw in the philosophy behind strict conservatism - it’s fundamentally anti-social.

People stick with the devils they know. When long-term planning is negated by the cognitive load induced by navigating abuse, it can be almost impossible to transition to new sustainable modes of thinking and living.

Turns out the people who are quickest to say something is unamerican are also the same people who will ignore American values like the Pledge of Allegiance and the US Constitution just to “win.”

The Pledge began as a marketing gimmick:

As branding expert John Gorman outlines, the pledge began with an initiative from The Youth’s Companion, a Boston-based magazine looking to expand beyond its religious roots. To reach a broader audience, the editors launched a nationwide effort to place American flags in public schools, offering them as incentives for new subscriptions.

Not such a great example of “American values”, or perhaps since it started as a corporate marketing gimmick it’s a perfect example.

Their separation from our reality is total and goes back many years. It’s not like they lived the same life but just this morning decided “nah that child rapist guy is ok.” For years they have been hearing from totally different information sources (I use this term loosely) a totally different narrative. It’s just one partisan witch hunt after another to them. None of it is real.

The fuller and more interesting version of your question is how 1/3 of America came to live in an alternate reality. I think we know most of that story but it is the real phenomenon at the bottom of this

I realize a lot of Americans hate the radical left, but could they really be any worse than these shit-for-brains Republicans? And I’m not talking about violent Stalin apologists, who are essentially non-existent offline, but democratic socialists.

One third of Democrats currently align with the Democratic Socialists, and it’s growing. It seems the hate for DemSocs is far overstated.

Many people, especially young people, who have grown up with MAGA for most of their lives, don’t see ANYTHING positive about MAGA, Democrats, or our government, and think Nordic-style Democratic Socialism sounds like a reasonable alternative.

I’m an old guy, so I’ve thought that for a LONG time. I’m pleased to see the rest of America catching up.

      Americans hate the radical left

A “radical left” that is right wing basically everywhere else in the world. Because they solely consume propaganda 24/7 and actively avoid anything else. You should see the number of fascists online in places about media like Star Trek (depicting a socialist, post-scarcity society where money doesn’t exist, and most of the galaxy cooperates in a Federation) talking about how it’s now Woke somehow.
