Everyone knows Vance has been simping on Erika Kirk ever since Charlie died. And that he would love to ditch Usha for her, if he could. He’s not fooling anyone with this fake rage.
At this point, I wouldn’t put it past him to convert and have a sister wife.
A what?
Two wives, who are “sisters” via the marriage. It’s a Mormon thing
I think that means something different in my state.
West Virginia?
Ah, how appropriately disturbing.
Personally polygamy doesn’t bug me. But the terminology is just eugh.
Me either, it’s the space slavery that makes it problematic for me.
Bigamy made legal through religious exemption loopholes.
Except it’s not legal.
El-Sayed’s comment was a response to that. His claim is that if Vance’s Papaw would have seen a Muslim candidate in the bigoted terms that Vance articulated—as inherently posing a threat to “working people”—then he also might have seen Usha Vance in a similar way.
As a immigrant that grew up in the same Midwest environment, there’s no might.
Man I’m really digging this El-Sayed guy. He’s not pulling any punches while keeping them all well above-the-belt, and he’s not afraid to (figuratively) hold a mirror up to the camera.
Like you know that scene in The Butterfly Effect where Ashton Kutcher’s character goes back to when he was a kid and just confidently spouts straight knowledge to a bully about how shitty the bully’s life is going to be?
He reminds me of that.
It’s always so satisfying simply stating facts that are so egregious they come across as attacks and insults.
i need some fucking bleach in my eyes from actually reading that shit. They quoted the fucker… “Abdul, keep my wife’s name the hell out of your mouth," The same hillbilly who demeaned his entire ‘biological’ family.
The same fucker who wants to deport his wife
The same fucker who wants kids, not his, born in the US deported?
It’s pretty funny he tried to use the Will Smith Oscar quote too…
Like, does he know that wasn’t a good move for Smith? He doesn’t know that ended his career and made him a giant joke?
It just demonstrated, not for the first time, what a weird, sad wanker Will Smith is.
I wondered that same thing.
I am angry
The vice president’s pose as an enforcer of chivalry and rectitude in our politics is ludicrous on its face, given his apologetics for Donald Trump’s nonstop vicious personal smears. But this episode is of interest for another reason: El-Sayed’s stance articulates a bigger point about Vance’s craven compromises with the MAGA coalition’s racist and white nationalist elements that is 100 percent correct.
This is a great piece.
Yeah, but there were no compromises. Vance is just a hypocrite.
it’s the fundamental root of all conservatism.
You’re going to have problems with authenticity when your family photo makes you look like a phony.
Family photo is just a furniture store
Say her name more, I’m not seeing actual rage yet.
Yes please. Need to stop backing down from these maga shitheads. They’ll bitch and moan all day long regardless.
JD, every time Trump and MAGA attack my family’s religion and smear my wife for wearing a hijab, they are attacking your wife and kids, too.
🤌🏻
Saw this comment first and thought it was a real quote, I would love to see El-Sayed actually say that directly to JD Vance
For me it’s always a red flag when the word “evil” is used. While it may be used in non-religious ways, it often has a religious context. Religion has caused too many problems for mankind, and that is why the separation of church and state is so important.
A fine article, but maga types aren’t going to read and think about it. They just feel
True, and they tell others to screw their feelings, it’s part of the indoctrination, the hypocrisy is real!
Abdul should now say “Hey, Vance, I like your beard… oh, sorry, you said I shouldn’t mention Usha, never mind.”
Anything Shady Vance reveals is that of Peter Thiel’s making. Shady Vance is nothing more than a façade.
