The funny thing is that I have no interest in watching ed Sheeran, and here in Australia, pretty sure a lot of people would rather watch Macklemore
Good. Maybe it will get worse.
Take note, Switzerland. Neutrality is a cop out.
I thought they definitely pro nazi gold…
Switzerland has a pro-fascist history. They’re neutral like visa/MasterCard is neutral.
hello all I am new
3 downvotes lol people are wild on the internet man, clearly idk what i am doing here so why the hate, thank you for the 4 upvotes tho whoever you are know you rock and Jesus loves you
Hey New! Interesting name.
thank you hehehehe
Yep and his “promoters decision” cowards framing is spineless.
I did not foresee Isreal/Palestine unseating Ed Sheeran’s popular image, but here we are.
How does one boycott Ed Sheeran when you already skip all his drivel?
Through mockery.
I made a reminder at work that Target took down lgbt products, removed “DEI” language out of their policies, and did a racism when I saw the party planner bought some shit from Target for a pizza party. Immediately the dog piling began and she’s terrified to bring a target bag here again.
I want someone good at art to make a picture. One side of the pic would be unicorns and rainbow type shit and the other side would be the idf commiting atrocities. Splitting the image would be Sheeran sitting on a fence saying “I don’t want to be political”
I’d get that printed on a shirt and rock it so damn hard.
Bonus points if one of the posts/slats was shoved up his ass and coming out of his mouth.
Serious question, what is the alternative for target as Amazon and others are at least as bad?
Depends what you’re trying to buy. Don’t get everything at superstores, engage with your local community
I understand Costco, I think it was, consistently made the opposite choices from Target. That’s off the top of my mind, though, so do check for yourself.

Ahahaha!
All of the remaining support acts on Ed Sheeran’s US tour have quit, after the rapper Macklemore was dropped from the line-up for making pro-Palestinian remarks on stage.
Among them were Finneas, the brother of pop star Billie Eilish, who said in a statement: “Artists must not be silenced when they speak up for the oppressed.”
Irish singer-songwriter Aaron Rowe and Danish band Lukas Graham also announced their departure. Irish folk band Beoga, who perform with Sheeran on stage every night, dropped out too.
Exactly what he deserved for being a selfish coward. Hahaha, sucks to suck!
On the one hand, no one should be taking their political opinions from fucking celebrities. On the other hand, being against genocide is a pretty easy one to get right and he still can’t manage to do it…
Political opinions from uninformed or biased celebrities no, but at the same time it’s easier you somebody who already has a following to make that push in the right (or wrong) direction than some random nobody… This is especially true in the US where people are being actively oppressed by their own government, as it’s a significantly harder for ICE etc to suddenly disappear somebody famous versus a random “dissident”.
My problem with the situation is not so much the celebrities speaking out. They can say whatever they want, it’s their platform. My problem is with all the people listening and forming their own opinions around that. There are (or at least should be) better informed sources to learn about problems like this from. Media is fucked up too though so at this point I guess gather information from wherever you can.
Yeah if you’re solely basing your opinion on what some famous dude with no other credentials says then that’s a bad idea. I still try and listen to the professionals, but they are being suppressed especially in the news. Still, it seems people are as much likely to migrate towards celebrities that seem to share their political views as they are to be informed by them.
If people are going to follow celebrities for politica informationl, maybe they would be better off to go with Tom Morello (Rage Against the Machine). He at least he has a degree in Political Science, and a decent wit to go with it.
No one should get their political opinions from celebrities, but so many do.
Is not about taking celebraties opinion, it fan not wanting to support a genocide supporter
Right, he should be boycotted for this. He took a side.
The article reads exactly that though, he is against it, but doesn’t want to drag politics to his performance.
Well, he didn’t really have a choice. The owner of the venue dragged him into it by demanding he deplatform Macklemore and he folded and kicked Macklemore off his tour. That’s taking a side and he chose the wrong one.
Most people get their political opinions from everywhere, which is why it’s important to take opportunities to talk about politics in non-political situations.
If I feel strongly about something, I share it with the people around me. Celebrities are just people with a lot of people around them. So while I agree that people shouldn’t be treating celebrities as political experts, neither should we be acting like celebrities need to stay silent when they have something to share.
And this is why I try to stay detached from entertainers.
It’s great if they turn out to be decent people who are willing to stand up for good causes but it always hurts to find out when they’re like this.
Sseth is having a wonderful week, almost like he and the merchants guild have planned all this…
Who is Sseth?
It suck for Ed because probably HE just wanted to get cool musician in His tour, and having your friend Maclemore in it, was just that, He supporting His friend. But then Robert Kraft tells you to kick Maclemore or you can’t play in his stadium, to me that fucker should be the one receiving more heat.
Could Ed say fuck you Robert Kraft!?, probably, but it’s not that easy, a tour means a lot of jobs for a lot of people, and now He is the bad guy. I don’t think that He had th eidea to make a tour to shine a light in society’s problems, He just wanted to play music and get paid.
Now Pink, that was just career suicide, when 2 countries are fighting and one has tanks and assault rifles and the other has rocks, and you are Team Tank you are just a douche
No one would think he was the bad guy if he publicly condemned Robert. More importantly, he could probably sue the shit out of him for this.
Yeah, it’s a hard choice. And, so far, he’s made the wrong one.
“Oh, you’re cancelling my concert on a venue I already paid because you suddenly don’t like part of my entourage? Nice! You know the closest court so I can sue the hell out of you for breach of contract? Also: I’m gonna make sure you regret this by being extremely public about who’s cancelling the show and for what reason.”
And that would have made him fill the next few venues just out of spite for the asshole Kraft. But he had to choose bothsiding in a matter that has genociders and victims.
Agree. I don’t really care about Ed or even know his music, but when he’s the main attraction for the audience and the host for the supporting acts, he has to be the last one to cancel.
He needs to do that now to save any shed of integrity.
In hindsight he ought to be have coordinated with the other bands outside of the press before saying anything at all. There’s no saving this now, when it already shows that he caved in to the demands regardless of his reasoning for doing so.
And if not then, definitely now. 3 of his opening acts and his own supporting band have now cancelled their performances…
Yeah, he’s proper fucked now. That’s a career killer.
He has enough money to sod off in some luxury resort for the rest of his life anyway.
He’s in love with the shape of 💵
…the shape of EUR
GBP. The UK never had the euro.
But they wanted to rhyme with “shape of you” ;)
“We must take sides. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented. Sometimes we must interfere. When human lives are endangered, when human dignity is in jeopardy, national borders and sensitivities become irrelevant. Wherever men and women are persecuted because of their race, religion, or political views, that place must - at that moment - become the center of the universe.”

Goddamn anti-Semite!
