10x devs just vibe code it in Rust to balance out the security issues 🤔
The Linux one isn’t realistic, this is not an ancronym.
Just like WINE!
Technically a backronym
KLITORIS
KALI
Linux
Intrusion
Testing
Operation
Response
Incident
System
Most devs cant find it.
It’s in the middle of the Thinkpad keyboard
In that case my came off.
I think you might want to get that checked out
Devs can’t find it, blue team always find it too late, and the pen testers know all about it and aren’t sharing.
The first K would stand for KLITORIS.
More like Linux: “Kritoris” which achtually is a 2500 year old greek symbol for harvest tools.
Linux devs would name something “Klitoris” literally just so the project website could say “you’ve finally found what you’re looking for”
man klitoriscat klitoris 😻
this incident will be reported
Apple: someFancyName4
Microsoft: Task Doing-er 5
Linux: some cute animal
who up rn doing they task
Linux: some cute animal except spelled awkwardly. Quomodo. Ekidnah. Magpye. Blootoona
Me: These are unironically good names
apt moo
Apple would use a minimalist and confusing name like: Task
It is so hard to troubleshoot issues with Photos. Why did they ditch iPhoto.
Windows names sound like a boss fight, Linux names sound like a typo that stuck 😭
Gotta love FOSS, gotta love klitoris.
Is this just a reference to The GIMP or are there other common apps with dodgy names? I’m struggling to think of any.
The app starting with K is probably a nod to how KDE names many of their projects something that starts with K. (Konsole, Kate, Kdenlive, Krita).
The litoris part probably refers to how linux apps often name things after random weird stuff, e.g. gimp, but it’s not always genital/sexual related I guess.
Latex and that one other thing which I forgot
Latex is just a kind of rubber, and a material produced by some plants used for making rubber. Sure, if you’re not careful when googling, you can get dodgy results with “latex” in the terms, but that seems to me to be of a different calibre.
LaTeX is the #1 Material used in fetish clothes. Its pretty much the only use for it.
I’m sorry what? What about:
- Shoes
- Gloves
- Tyres
- Elastic bands
- Balloons
All of these are made (partly) from natural (i.e. latex) rubber.
Latex wall paint
Yes I’m dumb, I didn’t express myself well. I meant to say that its the most prominent use for it.
Hmm, fair enough but I would say latex gloves and latex condoms are equally prominent (the latter obviously not helpful as far as avoiding dodgy results on Google)
I suppose, maybe im indoctrinated, when somebody says Latex i think of fashion.
Git
It’s just “Copilot” for everything in Windows these days
When foss Cockpilot??
(Cooperative Open-source Communications & Key Processes Integration for Lean Operations Technology)
be the change you wanna see in this world
Well, if Apple is getting a new CEO then Microsoft should go all in and hire Xzibit to sell copilot.

Rename them all Cock___ and put them in the cockpit.
Missed opportunity for the search input placeholder to say “Search for Copilot”
Imagine a screenshot where someone is chatting with copilot, asking it to help them find copilot and copilot replies with frustration that the user needs to be more specific.
Alternate answer: just click any icon.
There should be a torrent client with Copirate.
grep grep grep grep grep grep grep grep grep
Should have called it grape
Sounds like Squidward walking
ls, cd, cat, xz, rm,

sudo rpm-ostree install meow
Linux geeks, tell me what dog does “dog -al”
i love Linux
That’s just KDE. But why am I imagining a mirror dimension universe where its called CDE and all the software names are normal words with the k’s replaced with c’s.
CDE is/was a thing. Common Desktop Environment. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Common_Desktop_Environment
clitoriOS
It’s by kde.
Looks like it might be a Windows command line tool this time
