Recently started watching old 90s and 80s shows just for the fun of it, because I’m bored with all of the new stuff that’s coming out, and I fell into Knight Rider.
My review of the show so far aside, it’s got straight up the most banger theme music I have heard in a TV show in a very long time.
It got me wondering what other TV shows have really great theme songs?

Battle of the Planets
Easy.

Let Me tell you, unfortunately you are all wrong on this one.
Luckily I am here to guide you towards the truth: Mystic Knights Of Tir Na Nog
The version for German TV got an alternative intro. It’s the best.
Okay, so the first 30 seconds of this song, so awesome. Gave me goosebumps. Didn’t expect to that.
After that, it was all fluff. It didn’t need to go that long. If they had kept it to the first 30 seconds, I would have been, yeah, certified banger.
Stretching it out to the full song turns it into the soundtrack of overworkers
😄 yes, you are right with it being a bit long. The linked track is actually wax longer than the intro, which is https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=MURRgSd4ecM&pp=ygUUbXlzdGljIGtuaWdodHMgaW50cm8%3D
I didn’t hear the song for at least 10 years and when I saw the thread I immediately knew that’s the one, at least for Me. ❤️
Breaking Bad.
I don’t like theme songs…
Fairly Odd Parents might not be the best, but it is worth mentioning.
Definetely one of the most iconic for younger generations!
Well this is my jam.
Gilligans island The fall guy Greatest american hero Original mission impossible Gi joe
If i think of more i wilp edit.
Arthur theme song kinda slaps.
Sometimes when I’m bored and just to fill the space I will start singing this. It’s a great theme song.
I commented because I was thinking of the theme song for Doug and then I listened to this because I wanted to hear it again and I realized it’s a completely different song.
It’s still a great song, though. It’s just not Doug.
Jekyll Jekyll Hyde Jekyll Hyde Hyde Jekyll
Sniper king mini series in One Piece!!!
Zankoku na tenshi no you ni…
White Lotus, any and all the seasons
Adding an obscure one: Judy Greer did a short-lived sitcom with Chris Parnell in the late 00s called Miss Guided. She played a high school guidance counselor. The theme song was played for all of about 2-3 seconds at the beginning of every episode, but that was enough for me to find the band. The song is Beautiful Possibility by The Lisa Parade.
The Muppet Show
Farscape
Reboot
One Piece (especially “We Are”)
The Simpsons
Futurama
Animaniacs
I love Farscape…I’ve been a huge fan since discovering it in 2001. I’ve watched the show from start to PK War many many times and have introduced my wife and kids to it. They have subsequently watched the whole thing multiple times as well.
I skip the intro every single time. Sorry, but it just grates.
Its awesome. It grates because it’s utterly alien.
OK Go did an awesome update to the Muppets theme. The video is great, especially the end.
It’s so good. It’s actually even better without the Muppets talking, but obviously that’s part of the video’s charm.
