No. I mean that being in denial is when you convince yourself of something that is not true. They perfectly know the trust. They are not fooling themselves. They are just plain ol’ lying, trying to fool others.
During a trial in Florida, DeSantis’ officials were actually asked to define ‘woke’ and, for example, this is the answer General Counsel gave:
“it would be the belief there are systemic injustices in American society and the need to address them.”

The reason they don’t like it is because they’re the ones responsible for the systematic injustices, and they’re in denial about it.
