Well, according to billionaires that are crying literal crocodile tears on the news, “tax the rich” is a racial slur.

They’re so deluded that they don’t even know what comes after tax the rich. That’s the moderate position.

the people are already brainwashed that with enough work and movie like smart tricks they can become with the Elite , that’s why they don’t support taxation because and worker rights because they believe it would help them supposedly when their childish dreams come true

This is so true sadly. Talked to some friends irl who truly believe that one day they could also become a billionaire. They don’t even own a company. I think many have no concept of this number. It always surprises me how many are confused about which ‘team’ they are in and who their allies really are.

The relevant metric is “proportionate” not “majority”. The working poor pay a much higher proportion of their earnings in taxes than the ultra rich.

For example, our social security system is funded by taxes on the first $184,500 of personal income. Every dollar you earn above that is exempted from social security tax. That’s a 12.4% regressive flat tax. That tax is not assessed against business income, only personal income.

The working poor usually don’t pay federal taxes, and usually pay a -% if you include rebates or credits.

The middle class on the other hand gets screwed in taxes.

Oh I thought we were talking about the rich, the people who are at the point of paying negative taxes. Like the comment directly next to yours goes further into.

to a point, then you pay $0 and after that, you actually get taxpayer money in goverment contracts.
