Donald Trump said Sunday that if no peace deal is reached with Iran in the next 48 hours, “we’re blowing up the entire country.”

The president made the threat Sunday to ABC News’ senior political correspondent Rachel Scott in response to a question regarding whether his previously stated timeline of two to three weeks for a deal was still accurate.

Concerns have been raised about targeting civilian infrastructure in Iran and the consequences that could bring.

A safehouse owned by a powerful mob boss.

If you want some more context:

          • Roman (Niko’s cousin) has a bad habit of getting into debt from all his gambling. Unfortunately, Roman is in debt to Vlad.
          • Vlad decides to exert his power over Roman by fucking Roman’s girlfriend, Mallorie.
          • Niko then immigrates to America from the Balkans. After helping Roman out by keeping loan sharks off his back, he encounters Vlad pestering Roman and Mallorie.
          • Vlad later calls up Niko and demands that Niko work for him, or he’ll put some hurt on Roman. Niko agrees to this.
          • As Niko works with Vlad, he overhears Vlad talking to Mallorie. Niko sternly tells Vlad to stay away from her. Vlad gives Niko a “Sure, sure”.
          • During this time, Vlad is very insulting, calling Niko and Roman peasants, and boasts about his powerful friend, Mikhail Faustin. Mikhail Faustin is the boss of the Russian mob in the area. Whenever Niko tries to push back against Vlad’s demands, Vlad threatens to tell Faustin that Niko and Roman are becoming a problem.
          • Eventually, Roman tells Niko that he thinks Mallorie is “messing around with Vlad”. Niko reveals that he knows, and Roman is outraged. He tells Niko that he’s a traitor and a loser. Niko then gets upset and storms off to Vlad’s bar, with Roman tagging along.
          • When Niko meets Vlad, he tells him to stay away from Mallorie. Vlad’s response is “I must be hearing things. I could’ve sworn for a moment that this ratty little yokel just told me what to do!”. Vlad then orders his guys to rough up Niko and Roman.
          • Niko takes down Vlad’s guys, and both of them run out of the bar. Vlad gets in his car, with Niko in hot pursuit. This is when the quote I posted happens. After a little chase around the city, Niko corners Vlad and shoots him in the head.

For the relevant part with Vlad, you can look here.

Trying to say that the US doesn’t need or care about the strait of Hormuz on Wednesday, then following it up with today’s post was a choice.

Guy has exactly one tactic: start from a relative position of power and bully the little guy. It’s not working like he assumed and he’s floundering.

Yeah, trying to play it cool like it doesn’t matter to the USA was an extraordinarily transparent lie. Iran knows it, everyone knows it. His bullying tactics falling is what resulted in the tantrum now. Why would Iran give up one of their most effective strategies, just because the unreliable lying word-breaking thin-skinned narcissist got cross?

There’s a reason other presidents didn’t do it this way, Your Lowness, and it’s called Vietnam. You know, the one you draft dodged?

Trump was not ever going to try to stop it, he supports genocide and war crimes. Remember him telling Israel to “finish the job in Gaza”?

Republican Donald Trump has called US President Joe Biden “a very bad Palestinian” who doesn’t want to help Israel “finish the job” against Hamas in its war on Gaza.

“He doesn’t want to do it. He’s become like a Palestinian – but they don’t like him because he’s a very bad Palestinian, he’s a weak one,” former president Trump said in the first presidential debate with Biden on Thursday in Atlanta, Georgia.

So let me be clear we wouldn’t have invaded Venezuela and we wouldn’t be invading Iran. Those are the war crimes.

And were not even getting into the domestic issues thse days, lots of death there too.

I pointed out the ludicrousness of your morality arguements. You want to talk rhetorical fallacies you’ve created a character arguement and set yourself as the only judge.

You threw out the facts and changed the arguement to be about the commentors’ morality, as you perceive it.

Don’t pretend to care about fallacies when your own hypocrisy is pointed out

The moral argument I made is precisely this:

Have you been doing any Palestine solidarity work or is gaza just a gotcha for you?

That’s the fact, visible to anyone just a few posts up the thread. Nothing thrown away.

From this you assumed that I was setting up a different kind of gotcha, where I would instantly dismiss as not enough anything the other party would say. That’s your assumption, not what I said. The fallacy you accuse me of requires your assumption, does not stand on what I wrote alone. That in turn is exactly a strawman fallacy.

Genuinely the first thing I thought when he was elected. They’re going to hand this deranged lunatic the codes and he will find any reason to use them just to prove how powerful he is.

And I’ve also been told I was overreacting at every turn, until he did exactly what I said he would do. And then they said I was overreacting about the next thing he ended up doing. “Of course he’s going to give up the presidency if he loses the election, he’s not going to try anything weird or illegal, don’t be ridiculous!”

Yes, but they’re also legally required to follow that order, except for certain circumstances. The question is if someone in the chain will have the moral backbone to stop said order, and it can’t just be the person launching it as there are more that can be launched. It needs to be someone high up in the chain. It may also require them physically stopping him from just asking the next person.

He does kind of have a ‘button’ in the form of the “football” that sends the order straight to the ICBMs silos but I’m pretty sure those are pre-aimed at Russian targets. He doesn’t push the button, an unthinking brainwashed military pawn does it. That is sent to more unthinking brainwashed military pawns who actually launch the missiles.

Tactical nukes would have to go through more people but they’d probably just follow orders too.

This guy has never had any clue what he’s doing, only what he wants and how to get it. Now, he’s finally hit something completely out of his grasp and just like any narcissist, he’s not handling it well.

He will tear continue to chew through the entire world consuming people, economies, countries, and society until he’s stopped. This is the danger of dictators.

We’ve all been warning the Iran hawks this wouldn’t end well if they tried, for 25 years or more. This president is the only one dumb, and compromised by Israel enough, to not listen.

This comment could have been posted word-for-word in February/March 2020 and it would have had the exact same meaning. Even if Trump completely blunders this conflict it will ultimately be someone else’s mess to clean up.
