The US Senate on Wednesday once again voted down a resolution that would have restricted President Donald Trump’s ability to use military force against Iran, and this time a Democratic senator was the deciding vote.
The resolution failed after Sen. John Fetterman (D-Pa.) voted with the majority of Republican senators against a war powers resolution introduced by Sen. Jeff Merkley (D-Ore.).
The resolution would would have passed had Fetterman supported it because Sens. Rand Paul (R-Ky.), Susan Collins (R-Maine), Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska) all voted in favor.
This is now the seventh time the Senate has blocked a war powers resolution on Iran since Trump illegally began the conflict in late February…

There always seems to be a single vote to pass or not pass legislation in the Senate. It needs to be abolished.
If we ended transparent congressional voting it’d stop that nonsense, and kill a fair amount of lobbying too since lobby firms couldn’t guarantee returns on investment anymore.
At this point, I can only assume that the reason fetterman’s it getting jeered from every board/chair/whatever panel hes on is because Cluck Cluck Chuck wants him voting the way he is.

Strokes are brain attacks. While the clots that (can) cause them can be cardiac in nature, they can be caused by many other issues as well.
Compassion and empathy are higher level cognitive functions typically achieved after base needs are met. So l, brain damage caused by a stroke is unlikely to make someone have higher level function. Basically, strokes = brain damage, and brain damage = less recognition of humanity in others.
