I’m super happy with my family. I just wish I didn’t hesitate that much to have children when I was younger. I was worried about money, time, politics, etc but now I realize it’s so worth it. We are not considering adoption at this point, we are surrounded by other kids from family and friends, we just wished we started a bit younger and have maybe 2 more. So my advice basically is not to hesitate if you’re thinking about it, it’s 100% worth it.
Someone mentioned adoption; I also want to mention fostering, volunteering for Big Brother/Big Sister, becoming a CASA, etc.
I know those aren’t the same thing, but sometimes there are multiple ways to meet a need :)
