I think this is a thing some people need to hear. Sometimes this is true. Sometimes what matters more is that right now a person is being an asshole and needs to be stopped.

However, psychology has shown that all behavior has a reason, and we do ourselves a disservice by not taking the time to learn what conditions lead to that behavior so we can remove them or spot the behavioral patterns earlier and prevent it from resulting in puppy kicking.

It is not just the morally supeiror option to whatever the fuck we do now (in the US anyway), it’s also the more pragmatic solution. It’s just also not what the person who’s puppy was just kicked wants to hear.

Yeah, having a friend that I clearly can’t just say “it wasn’t that funny to me, but I’m glad you liked it” and have it be okay.

I thought shit posts were supposed to be funny, this is just sad.

Valve treats me like they actually want to earn ky business and they use their vast wealth to make cool shit. Valve is also the reason I no longer have to deal with Window’s bullshit to keep playing my favorite video games.

Yes, I would love to see more altruism, but Valve is, at the bare minimum, the epitome of moral neutrality as a business. So there’s nothing to really be mad at them about, and rather I have some gratitude for how they’ve used their money.

On the flipside, as others have pointed out, everyone else keeps shooting themselves in the foot. The only one thar hasn’t (to my knowledge) is GoG, but they’re never going to reach Steam status in a Capitalist society. And their social features are unavailable on Linux.

The next closest after that is Epic, who’s shitty, buggy ass launcher and storefront is so horrendous that when they give games out for free, people buy said games on Steam instead.

So… Why would we be mad at Valve for their competition being shit?

The Endless games have such fucking dope ass lore and it makes me wish there was any kind of RPG where we could get more intricate lore instead of just the grand, sweeping stuff.

Like, how do the average Riftborn cope? What was it like for individual Vaulters to retuen to the stars? What’s it like day to day in Broken Lord society?

So many awesome things to explore and the vistas would be stunning! I really hope Amplitude gives us one someday. But they’re still fantastic 4x games with great music and top tier artwork. If you’re a 4x, definitely go try them! Just don’t expect Civ.

There is also the fact that it’s the “Furry Fandom.” Which is how “furry” came to be the umbrella term.

There have been efforts in the past to distinguish, some people being adamant that they be referred to as “scalies,” but I think it was always a pointless division. It’s useful as a tag, not as an identity, not if we want to remain even remotely unified as a subculture.

I’ve seen this so many times and it just never gets old!
