They WERE pretty excellent.

Foil boat and jack the temp a little. I do mine at 300 for 2h, then foil boat them and 325 for last hour. After that they come out of the foil and get sauce on top, 15 mins back in the grill, flip and sauce the other side, then 15 more minutes.

It usually works pretty well in that time table, though this time I had to foil wrap instead of boat so we lost a little on bark.

Bark was not as good as I usually like but I did them on B&B XL champion blend and some cherry wood.

We had company come at like 9a so I started a dry brine with Texas style dry rub (SPG), knowing they take 3.5h to cook. Then I got into projects and at 425 looked at the clock and realized grill wasn’t even started… So they got a little extra hot and fast and foil boat SUPER early, but I got a decent smoke ring and they were a hit nonetheless.

I cooked some chicken breast tenderloins over those in the last hour to feed the kids and it all worked out.

Usually 205. These were running way late so they came off around 196 so they had quite a bite to them.

It means this person is outrageously pretentious and also not great at written English.

If you try to unpack this word salad, basically this person is of the opinion that you should protest dirty and smart (I get some hard lefty, “mop” kind of vibes), as opposed to just showing up in huge numbers once in awhile not getting anything done. This person then makes an offhand assertion that the system is rigged against this kind of protest in some double standard way. It seems like they think this is not effective, and also that the people that rise to the top in these situations are not the kind of people you probably want in leadership.

It is not well written at all, so that’s what I got from reading it twice and writing this up from memory (Voyager doesnt let me look at the thing while I write a comment) and that’s as much effort as I have to give it.

I will counter here and say that the exact same argument can be made for superficial love of movies just because they are “girly”. See also the notebook and P.S. I love you which I also don’t think are particularly good. I mean, I can boil your argument down and say that women think “kick ass” or “shoot em up” are bad movies (because they are, but they are entertaining) and it’s “always the most insufferable women” who say these movies are bad.

I feel like you’re looking for a reason to be injured and making the discussion gendered for reasons that are beyond the argument. Just like your stuff and dislike what you don’t like and who cares about the rest? Maybe it’s more insufferable to not just acknowledge that some of the stuff you happen to like is not great, but feel very sad because people call it out as not being great.

This sounds increasingly whiney to me TBF. So I guess kudos to you, it’s likely to be objectively unpopular.

I’m not so sure about that. I’ve heard plenty of movie critiques by all kinds of social/genital setups. If you like it, watch it, but nobody else is obliged to like it or like that you like it (even though that matters exactly zero).

I also don’t like anime of any variety.
