Counting 2026, I haven’t had a primary to vote in for my last House election, my last US Senate election, my last Governor election, my last presidential election, my last school board election, or my last city council election. Only Florida and Delaware left the presidential race of their Democratic primary ballots. There were like 7 candidates for the presidential race on the ballot in Texas.

Granted I would prefer to still have the vote so people can cast an empty or write-in ballot. But there wasn’t a blatantly nefarious plot to deprive the voters of a choice between declared candidates.
I’m sorry, let me correct my statement then. At no point did I have a vote in the selection of any of those democratic candidates, my rubber stamp vote for Biden did not select Kamala. There was no alternative for Spanberger, and my city just straight up cancelled their Dem primaries this year. There is a uncomfortably wide and long-running pattern of the field clearing for the party candidate before the question is put to the voters. But you got me on a technicality, I’m spouting misinformation

Which state? I’ve only ever heard of two states leaving the presidential race off it and then only in 2024.
