Republican voters could at any moment say “we won’t vote Republican in the next election, unless Republican Congressmen impeach Donald Trump”. And yet, they do not - rather the reverse, they would rebel if Republican Congressmen impeached Trump.

This is what 50% of America’s active voters want. For them, Trump is still infinitely better than an Obama Presidency.

It was never not going to be. That supposed intelligent Americans would rather sit on the sidelines and allow it to happen - citing ‘moral grounds’ even - is appalling.

Oh please let him do it. Let him build his tacky ballroom, let him put his signature on the money, let him smear his feces on the declaration of independence. Future generations of Americans need embarrassing reminders of what can happen to America, reminders they can’t ignore, and at least these don’t have a body count attached.

You think future Americans will be embarrassed by all this and not idolizing it. I like your optimism. I, too, hope Americans can smarten up one day.

If they’re idolizing it then at least that’s a good signal to the rest of the world to maintain American isolation.

If he weren’t in such a powerful position where his shallow childishness was harmless, it would be hilarious how sad this dude is. This medal doesn’t matter, ultimately. But apparently the thought that he might get an undeserving Nobel prize was all that held him back from starting multiple wars. He needs a full time ass kisser that praises him when he’s not a complete psychopath to reinforce that behavior.

Your comment just made me figure it out, we’re so stupid it’s our fault literally our fault. We know he’s a moron we know he’s a mobster we me know he’s an asshole…

We think of the Nobel Peace prize as an award given for an accomplishment. The orange buffoon doesn’t think in terms of accomplishment He thinks in terms of bribes the Nobel Peace prize was a bribe to keep him from starting wars…

I hate this timeline so much

Those generals have to be covered with so many medals that they practically become armor, but the Boss is above that nonsense.

        I looked it up.

        https://worldhistoryedu.com/reasons-why-north-korean-generals-wear-so-many-medals/

One of the reasons for the proliferation of medals is that North Korean generals are often allowed to wear decorations originally awarded to their parents or grandparents. This tradition reflects North Korea’s emphasis on familial loyalty and continuity in service to the state. By displaying these inherited medals, generals symbolically link their achievements to those of their forebears, perpetuating a narrative of multi-generational commitment to the regime and the nation’s ideals.

The roots of North Korea’s extensive medal culture can be traced back to the Korean War (1950–1953), during which many awards were introduced to recognize military valor. As the war concluded and active conflict ceased, the scope of these decorations expanded to include contributions in non-military spheres, blurring the lines between military and civilian achievements.

So think of it kind of like, oh, hereditary titles in an aristocracy or something. It’s a “I’m the grandson of person who was important some time back” sort of thing. The people with lots of medals belong to a family that has been in the “in” crowd for some time.

This guy is such a fucking asshole.

Seriously, he has surpassed even Ronnie Raygun at this point as far as being the worst president, at least in recent times. I wasn’t sure it was possible to surpass the shitstain that is Ronnie Raygun, who up until Pedonald, had objectively the most criminal administration in history.

It’s really wild when some polling seems to indicate they are not satisfied with him, and yet… Poll or interviewer: would you vote for him again, tho?

        The mark/idiot: “Yep”

They are so brainwashed that they simply cannot imagine voting for a Democrat, because that would make them gay or woke or whatever. The branding and the propaganda works on these people pretty much for life. This go-round they seem to think that voting was all about trans (“men in women’s sports”) or something.

It basically boils down to teams. Do you abandon your baseball team because they suck? Nope, you cling to them like grim death. Trump is an incompetent senile psycho? Sure, but he’s “my team”. You’d have to abandon your identity to switch teams.

When I talk to people I suspect are Trumpers (they never come right out to me) they go on about things like illegal immigrants. I just nod and think “How do they hurt you? You love having cheap labor working on your house. You’d never want one of the jobs they have.” Things that really effect them, like the economy or the massive class divide, don’t register with them.

No it’s the inability to do anything about him. There’s no checks, no balance and people are just sitting back. It’s crazy.

This has gone past his voters. A good majority of the USA is complicit.

He will even top Buchanan. His legacy will read like a demon James Buchanan who lost his will to appease.
