Even in my country (Canada), the news media keeps reporting on Trump as though he were a normal leader. He is not. He is a career criminal - a scammer who is robbing the US blind. From what I can tell, a composite opinion by the average American is now along the lines of “well I am tired of his antics but it’ll blow over and be fine in a few years” but then we’ve deprioritized climate change and plenty of other looming issues so ignoring what he’s done and normalized may be easy for us.

You must understand that my bitterness comes from being a trucker in rural areas and living in the south US. I have met the dumbest people alive. I’ve had conversations with several people all over the country who openly admit that Trump is damaging America, but “If we elect a democrat, there wont be an America!” These people openly support him, despite their lives being significantly worse, admittedly because of Trump. They’ve been radicalized to think Leftists are baby-eaters or whatever particular flavor of conspiracy thats rattling around in their head. Comparing the two, from my perspective, Israel resembles Nazi Germany much more closely than the USA does. Israel has a highly radicalised population that supports the genocide of other races it considers beneath them. In Israel there is overwhelming public support for massacres and dehumanised language and persecution everywhere you look.
